ALL international students and scholars who were in the U.S. for any period of time during 2008 must file an annual tax statement, called an income tax return, with the federal government. In addition, some students and scholars will also be required to file an income tax return with the state of Connecticut. The handout below is intended to direct you to the resources that can help you with your filing obligations.  The tax filing deadline this year is Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

NOTE:  CINTAX passwords were emailed to all active Yale students and scholars on February 6.  If you have not received yours or have lost yours, please contact oiss@yale.edu.

For further personal income tax filing information, please see the information here

University Tax Withholdings

Anyone receiving payment from the University (wages, fellowships, etc.), should arrange to meet with the University International Tax Office to ensure that the correct withholdings are taken from your income.
