This handbook, compiled by the Office of
International Students & Scholars at Yale, with input from many in
the Yale and New Haven communities, provides comprehensive
information for both new and experienced members of the Yale
community. Before you begin reading the handbook itself, take a
moment to read the welcome and browse the table of contents. This
will help you better understand the scope of the information and its
